Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal betrokken bij ernstig auto ongeluk!
Ron wordt woensdag 1 juni geramd door een SUV en botst daardoor tegen 2 andere auto's. Gevolg auto total loss, gelukkig blijft hij zelf ongedeerd.
Later verteld hij dat hij na 24 uur met verzekeringen e.d. gesproken te hebben pas echt "gewond" is geraakt, maar vergoelijkt dat door te zeggen: ik zit in Guns N'Fuckin' Roses, dit is kinderspel!
Ron bedankt op zijn TWITTER Toyota voor hun gordel, kreukelzone en airbags en geeft aan dat hij zich nog goed genoeg voelt om te twitteren dus nog niet dood is en plaatst daarbij deze foto:

Can you introduce the band Adler’s Appetite to our readers?
Well I am Steven Adler the drummer I have Chip Z Nuff playing bass Ricky “theRick” Stitch on vocals, Robo playing lead guitar and Michael “Mr.T” Thomas playing the guitar. That's Adler’s Appetite
And we have our 3 new songs out on iTunes: Faded, Alive and Stardog, and if you go to Adler's Appetiteonline.com you will see all pictures and video’s of the shows we've been doing over here in Europe and what we did on stage in South America too. And of course we got CD’s and stuff too on the site. And also you can follow me on facebook and the stevenadlersite twitter.
That’s very cool. Yesterday you guys opened for the 1st out of 3 shows in Holland. How was it to be back after 6 years?
It’s been a honour and a joy. My heart is just filled with so much love and I receive so much love from the fans here in Holland you know Amsterdam of course got a very special place in my heart. You also can pick up my book “My appetite for destruction” The stories are all there, about me, and the band and my friend Ronny Schneider is in there so.
Basically my book shows all the words and scars and tattoo’s of my life in rock 'n roll
The new single Alive , it really surprised me . In my opinion it could be on Appetite and it would be a classic hit like the other ones. Can we expect more of those songs on the new album?
Yes of course and thank you very much saying that about Alive. I finally having some originally songs with my band Adler’s Appetite and have a opportunity to show how much of a big part of Guns N' Roses and Appetite For Destruction that I was. When it cones of a lifetime it was a short run. But that record has been so powerful and that’s why I also use the name Appetite for my band. Adler means eagle in German and appetite is such a powerful word. And I really feel like the name of the band is so important as well of course the music. You know the name: the eagle is hungry. It ‘s just a powerful name!

I noticed yesterday Alex Grossi wasn’t on stage, is that because of his reunion with Quiet Riot?
It’s because he started managing me, he's managing the band and yes because of Quiet Riot, it was just too much. He was basically managing and performing with the band and it was just too much And he actually really started enjoying doing the business part of the music industry, the managing part. We have a new guy named Robo he is a great polished guitar player you know. Well you saw for yourself.
Yeah and this band really is great live and a tight group, Why do you still have the desire, as I read in other interviews, to come back and play with the guys from Guns N' Roses, because really you got an excellent band already?
Well, of course I want to be back with Guns N' Roses , because those are my brothers! Adler’s Appetite are my brothers too. But those are my brothers I mean what we have accomplished together. Every musician and entertainer has that dream to accomplish that. And we, the five of us Axl, Duff, Izzy, Slash and myself did that. Our dream came through. And you know brothers do what's best. They fight with each other , but that doesn’t mean we don’t love each other, hopefully, My grandpa always said: ”Time heal all wounds”. It’s been 20 years. I think my wounds are healed and I have that whole thing. My life was 20 years of abusing drugs and abusing myself , because I blamed them for what was happening to me. When I realized after getting of drugs and working with Dr Drew and Bob Forrest, I realized that it wasn't them, those guys who let me down, it was me who let them down.
It was really really hard to see the shows from rehab TV as fans, it really hurts to see that, but now you look so healthy and strong!
Yes, actually that is a part of it. Doing that show I went in to it thinking I can either look like the biggest jack off in the world or I can come out look like a cool motherfucker. I had an opportunity to change my life. I took full advantage of it, I tried to get everything I could out of it you know. And doing that help me see, cause the camera was on me so when I wasn’t feeling good. When you get off drugs it’s like being in a boxing ring with Mohammed Ali or Mike Tyson. For 30 years I was getting the shit beating out of me , it takes time after getting your ass kicked for your mind and your body to heal.
So that was the whole process of detox and rehab is to clear yourself out and get all the crazy things out. You see yourself on TV and you go: “What am I talking about, I sound like an idiot saying that”! You can see yourself in denial, and that is what makes it powerful.
OK, that's what makes it possible to write the book and give the fans a good shine on what happened in all those years?
Exactly like I said I did everything I could and that book “My appetite for destruction” was such a healing process for me, and to get everything out of my system. When the book came out I was on tour in America, and as soon as I got home I built a big fire in my fireplace and I threw my book in it. Cause I wanted to leave my past behind. I can’t change it, I can do nothing but accept it and move on! Maybe ten years from now I write another book and it will be a lot happier.

's Avonds hoort het management dat de autoriteiten het Vicente Caldaron Stadion in Madrid hebben gesloten.
Het gebouw is flink aangetast door betonrot.
De zoektocht naar een alternatieve lokatie begint.
